Important Information

Before sending your rental request, please review the following.

1. A request does not confirm your booking

After you send your rental request, M Gear will check availability, your intended use, bike suitability and other details. We will then present the rental conditions. The contract is formed when you agree to those conditions and complete the required payment.

2. This is a high-performance carbon bike

The rental bike has a carbon frame and carbon wheels. A fall or impact may cause internal damage even if external damage is barely visible or cannot be seen at all. Specialist inspection or replacement of parts or the entire bike may be required. If the entire bike must be replaced, costs may be approximately ¥800,000.

3. A security deposit is required

A security deposit is required for every rental. We will tell you the amount before the contract is formed. The deposit is not a limit on your liability.

4. Damage, punctures, theft and loss may be at your expense

For accidents, falls, impacts, punctures, theft, loss or other incidents attributable to you, you are responsible for reasonable inspection, repair or replacement costs. If a tyre must be replaced, the indicative cost is approximately ¥20,000 per tyre.

5. Additional compensation may apply if the bike cannot be rented

If damage or other circumstances attributable to you prevent M Gear from renting out the bike for a period, compensation based on that period and actual losses may be payable in addition to repair or replacement costs.

6. Your responsibility continues until return is completed

Changes to the return time require prior approval. You remain responsible for the bike until M Gear actually receives it or explicitly confirms that the return is complete.
